Master of Science in Sustainable and Environmental Design

Introduction

The Master of Science (MSc) in Sustainable and Environmental Design is an integrated taught postgraduate programme run by the School of Architecture, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, for practitioners in all sectors of the building industry. It usually involves one year of full-time study (two years part-time). This programme is unique in that it is taught by the best international team of teachers from the top universities and research institutions around the world. The teachers are all globally renowned scientists and professors in their field of study. In addition, the programme is the only one in Hong Kong that offers BEAM Plus training. Upon completion of the programme, students would have a better understanding of the fundamentals of sustainable and environmental design, master the use of advanced research technologies and green architecture concepts, and have enhanced their problem solving skills.

Admission

Applicants for the programme should have graduated from a related programme of a recognized university, and should have obtained a bachelor’s degree of not lower than second class. Priority will be given to applicants with 2 or more years of related work experience in the building industry, such as in Architecture, Urban Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or Environmental Engineering.
